Registration system

1   The Minister of Justice and Attorney General shall establish a system of registration and safekeeping of international wills.

Registrar

2   The Public Trustee is designated as the registrar of the system.

Filing of the list

3   The list to be filed with the registrar by a person authorized to act in connection with international wills under section 53 of the Wills Act must be in the form set out in the Schedule.

Repeal

4   The International Wills Registration System Regulation (AR 47/79) is repealed.

Expiry

5   For the purpose of ensuring that this Regulation is reviewed for ongoing relevancy and necessity, with the option that it may be re‑passed in its present or an amended form following a review, this Regulation expires on October 31, 2006.
